Sourced from a single vineyard in the Wairau Valley, this Pinot Noir is crafted with a "hands-off" philosophy that allows the natural vibrance of the fruit to shine. By utilizing organic farming practices and avoiding heavy-handed oak, Walnut Block produces a wine that is remarkably fresh, clean, and expressive. Appearance - A bright, translucent cherry red with youthful violet highlights at the rim.

Nose - An uplifted and aromatic bouquet. Intense notes of fresh strawberry, red cherry, and raspberry are layered with delicate floral scents of violet and a subtle, savory hint of dried herbs.

Palate - Light-to-medium-bodied with a wonderfully supple and silky texture. The palate is led by a juicy core of red berry fruit, balanced by a refreshing acidity and very fine, soft tannins. It finishes clean and elegant, with a lingering note of red fruit and a touch of earthiness.

Pairings - Grilled Duck Breast, Teppan Pork Jowl with Yuzu Kosho, Assorted Wild Mushroom Foil Yaki, Iberico Pork Secreto, Chicken Teriyaki.

Service - Serve at 15–16°C. Keeping this Pinot Noir slightly cool preserves its bright red fruit character and floral aromatics. It is designed to be enjoyed in its youth and does not require decanting, though 10 to 15 minutes in the glass will allow its perfume to fully bloom.
