The Harmony of Old and New
Suntory Toki, meaning "time" in Japanese, is a vivid blend that honors the heritage of the House of Suntory while embracing a modern, versatile spirit. By bringing together the distinct characteristics of the Hakushu malt (freshness), Chita grain (cleanliness), and Yamazaki malt (complexity), this whisky achieves a unique equilibrium. Unlike traditional whiskies that lean heavily on smoke or peat, Toki is defined by its crystalline clarity and silken texture, making it the definitive choice for the iconic Japanese Highball.
Appearance - A brilliant, clear gold with exceptional luminosity.
Nose - A fresh and uplifted bouquet. Delicate aromas of basil and green apple are layered with notes of fresh-cut grass, honey, and a hint of peppermint.
Palate - Light-bodied and remarkably silky on the tongue. The palate is led by a core of grapefruit and green grapes, underscored by a subtle sweetness and a trace of spicy ginger and oak. It finishes clean and crisp with a faint, lingering touch of white pepper.
Pairings - Grilled Butabara, Gindara Saikyo Yaki, Truffle Kombu Edamame, Chicken Teriyaki, Aburi Engawa.
Service - While excellent neat or on a large rock, Toki is engineered to shine in a Highball. Fill a tall, chilled glass with high-quality ice, add one part Toki to three parts sparkling water, and finish with a twist of lemon peel. This preparation allows the whisky’s delicate herbal and citrus notes to truly effervesce.
